The Beginning…
Life After 5 is a pop punk group that was formed in the south suburbs of Chicago around 2017, but the story goes back to 2016 in Chicago Heights where Jimmy and Dave first came together.
Both were performing in a musical in Chicago Heights Illinois and after the first rehearsal with the cast and pit, Dave (Drummer) was approached by Jimmy (Singer). His simple question to Dave was "Are you a studio drummer? If not do you want to be one?". The very next day, the first practice took place.
Fast forward a few years, Dave had finished his college degree and went to work in the music products industry but it took him out of the Midwest for a couple years until 2020 when his career gave him the chance to move back. While Dave pursued the music industry, Jimmy continued to study audio engineering while committing to the trades as an electrician in Chicago. The following year (2022), they got their first EP tracked for a release in 2023. Years worth of writing had finally come to light and they were all the better for it.

The Band…
Since tracking and releasing their first EP, Jimmy and Dave had been on the lookout for players that would bring their sound to the stage.
Nick Radice (bottom right), a friend of Jimmy’s who had played in multiple groups, would join the band as the rhythm guitarist after the release of the EP.
Dave during this time had made a career move that took him to Milwaukee, Wisconsin where he ended up meeting Zachary Wood (Lead Guitarist | Left) and Dave Bechdolt (bassist | Top right). They would be the final pieces to the puzzle in forming a group that has craved performing since 2016.
Most people live their lives from 9-5, but we choose to live this Life After 5 doing what we love.
